When the emergency services arrived, the Porsche convertible was lying on its roof in the middle of the street. A 19-year-old was rescued alive. The driver (57) died.
Munich – A tragic traffic accident occurred on Friday in Langwied-Lochhausen, in which a 57-year-old man lost his life and his 19-year-old passenger was injured and taken to hospital. The accident occurred in Eschenrieder Straße when a Porsche went off the road and overturned.
According to police, the Porsche first crashed into the curb, skidded into a sloping grass verge, was levered out of the way and finally landed on its roof on the road. The top was open, said a police spokeswoman.
Report of accident arrives shortly after noon – passenger survives
The integrated control center received the report of the serious traffic accident shortly after midday and immediately alerted several fire and rescue service units. According to the Munich fire department, when the first emergency services arrived, the Porsche convertible was lying on its roof across the road. Rescue workers immediately took care of the passenger, who had already been freed from the vehicle. Other firefighters pulled the driver out of the vehicle, but could only confirm his death.
19-year-old passenger is taken to the emergency room – police investigate the cause of the accident
The 19-year-old passenger was transported to the emergency room of a Munich hospital for further examination. After the accident, leaking operating fluids were collected and Eschenrieder Strasse was completely closed. After an expert had analyzed the accident, a rescue fire engine was called to the scene to completely clean the street. According to the police, investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
