In the starting blocks
Porsche is still busy testing its new 911 GT3 RS. The powerhouse seems almost ready for his public debut.

The current Porsche 911 has been with us for two years now and various versions have appeared over the years. The Carrera, Carrera 4, Turbo in Turbo S are already there. We now also know the Cabrio and the Targa as alternative body styles. Now we have to wait for the more extreme versions. The GT3 and the GT3 RS are now ready, at least almost. The latter encountered our spy photographer again this week in the open air. This time at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.
The new GT3 RS cannot be missed as an ‘über-911’. A truly gigantic rear wing is a mega eye-catcher. Although the rest of the wider and lower 911 on its wheels looks relatively familiar, that wing is still on the extreme side. The After all, the 911 GT3 does it with a ‘more subtle’ copy. Although you may sometimes no longer see the forest for the trees with all those different variants, the GT3 RS will be easy to get out of. It also appears that the cooling vents in the front fenders, just before the A-pillar, are returning as a typical GT3 RS characteristic.
We can be fairly short about the engine expectations: all arrows point to an atmospheric 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with an output of (well) above 520 hp. So it is wonderfully pure sports violence, which can be experienced by everyone (with enough money) in 2021. The unveiling may take place this year.
