23 people were identified who produced, distributed and sold porn on the Internet with the participation of children.

In order to protect children from sexual exploitation and counter the spread of pornographic content involving children on the Internet, law enforcement officers conducted an operation codenamed Web. About it informs press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

So, a resident of Cherkassy was exposed, who created porn content with the participation of two young daughters. At the time of the crime, the children were 6 and 8 years old. The woman sold the captured files on the Internet. She also offered her friend to enter into intimate relationships with her daughters on a paid basis. The woman was detained, she was informed of suspicion. Affected children are placed in centers for social and psychological rehabilitation, where they are provided with appropriate assistance.

A resident of Kiev was also detained, who raped the 5-year-old daughter of his friend and created child pornography with her participation.

And in Odessa, law enforcement officers exposed four local residents who uploaded and sold illegal content on closed forums.

In addition, residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, Donetsk region, Zhytomyr region and Transcarpathia were exposed, who distributed child pornography on the Internet.

In total, 27 searches were carried out, during which more than 10 terabytes of illegal content and computer equipment were seized. Expert research is ongoing.

Currently, 23 people have been identified who produced, distributed and sold illegal content on the Internet for money. Two of them have already been notified of suspicion and preventive measures have been chosen – detention without an alternative to bail, the report says.

An investigation was launched in 20 criminal proceedings on the facts of human trafficking; rape; sexual violence; committing acts of a sexual nature with a person under the age of sixteen; corruption of minors; importation, manufacture, sale and distribution of pornographic items; obtaining access to child pornography, its acquisition, storage, production, sale and distribution (Article 149, Article 152, Article 153, Article 155, Article 156, Article 301, Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Investigations are ongoing.
