-The series seems to have been born from the name. It was like this?
-Fifteen years ago I lived with a musician friend who was starting a band: that’s when the subject occurred to me. The idea evolved over the years and became this, two friends who get together exclusively to watch porn and have ice cream, and they meet this other girl. And there in the writing of the scripts, the theme and the title appeared.
-In addition to the crazy streak, the series strains several cinematographic quotes, of clockwork orange a All That Jazz, and also to the universe of music. What do you like about the metatextual?
-The series celebrates many things all the time. I grew up watching The Simpsons, who play a lot with that resource. Me and Martina López Robol, the last screenwriter to join the process, we really like everything about referencing other products. It is very fun to film and creates a very nice complicity with the viewer. Whenever the viewer catches it, it generates that feeling of being special and connected to the project.
-The series is so modern that it talks about cryptocurrencies and Ponzi schemes, and at the same time it has a very nocturnal cut due to the trio’s raid. How did those two elements appear?
-The nocturnal thing is something that I regretted in the during, because filming at night is very complicated. Half of the realization was at night. A lot. But I like the night, I am nocturnal, and I like the bars where they stop. There is this taxi bar that is a decadent Varela Varelita. And the bowling alleys where they are going to play. All that mix is very attractive.
-What would happen if these three characters met the ones in your short film? Do not love me and Volley?
-I feel that they are different tones. Volley It was still a romantic comedy, put it on. porn and ice cream It has its sensitive moments, there are gestures of the characters and things, but this one is much more delusional and ironic.
