2. Mahfud MD Calls the Government Still Recognizes AHY Ketum Democrats

The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam), Mahfud MD, said that the government is still officially recording Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) as Chairman of the Democratic Party.

“The official committee at the government office is AHY. AHY son of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, that is the one until now,” Mahfud was quoted as saying from the Youtube channel of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Saturday (6/3/2021).

Mahfud said that the government so far could not prevent the implementation of the extraordinary congress (KLB) against the AHY camp which took place in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, last Friday.

In the government’s view, said Mahfud, the implementation of the KLB against the AHY camp was like a gathering of Democratic cadres.
