Population screening North moved from Smilde to Assen

Women from Bovensmilde aged 50 to 75 will receive an invitation next month for a breast screening on behalf of the North Population Screening. This year the research will not take place in Smilde, but in Assen.

The breast cancer screening program is a national screening program that is carried out by five cooperating regional screening organizations. To get good results, the population screening must be the same for all women in the Netherlands. There are currently regional differences in waiting times. To reduce the differences, the available mobile research centers and staff are deployed according to a different classification. As a result, the location of Smilde has been canceled.

Beilen

Women from Bovensmilde and the surrounding area will soon receive an invitation to be examined at the mobile research center in Assen. Women from Smilde, Hoogersmilde, Westerbork and the surrounding area will receive an invitation from August to have themselves examined at the mobile research center in Beilen.
