Following the hi-fi rush, the surprise release of the game on the day of release is once again receiving accolades.

On the 10th, the Metacritic and Opencritic scores of Metroid Prime Remastered were released. Metascore 95 points, user score 9.1 points, Open Critic rose to 96 points, recording outstanding scores.

Metroid Prime Remastered is a remastered version of Metroid Prime released in 2002. The original work received favorable reviews for its unique perspective and UI that utilized the characteristics of the first person as its identity, and well melted the characteristics of the Metroid series, which were implemented in 2D, into 3D. In fact, the original Metroid Prime also scored 97 on Metacritic.

True to the name of the remaster, the most highly rated was the visuals tailored to the current generation. Most polygons and textures, such as backgrounds and monsters that appear in the game, have been remastered.

In addition to the visual upgrade, the introduction of various control methods for users was also a factor of favorable reviews. Not only the FPS control method that ordinary gamers can comfortably use, which will be the first game in the series, but also the lock-on aim control familiar with Splatoon, and the control method of the previous series released on the GameCube and Nintendo Wii for existing fans, all in one game.

Accordingly, both critics and users alike, starting with the critique of “showing what the standard of a remaster that respects the original game is,” followed by various reviews such as “the memories of that time are revived” and “the regret is that it is not a new work” have appeared after a long time. Praise for the remastered work.

Metroid Prime Remastered will support Korean, and the package version will be released separately on March 3rd.
