The hotel development will be part of a larger plan that includes the construction of five commercial/office blocks and apartment blocks on the former 12-acre Crown Equipment site on Monivea Road, Mervue, Galway city. Crown Square Developments Ltd. applied for permission to develop the site in 2019, with planning consent already granted for the retail and office space and some apartment blocks.
