Singer and actress IU made her positive influence known by donating 200 million won.

On the 1st, her agency EDAM Entertainment said, “On December 31st last year, IU created a campaign under the name ‘IU-Aena’ (meaning a combination of IU and her fanclub U-Aena) to help the underprivileged with heating and welfare issues have a warmer winter during the bitterly cold winter. “We donated 200 million won for heating expenses to a total of four organizations, including the ‘Korea Senior Welfare Center Association’, ‘Korea Child Welfare Association’, ‘Korea Unwed Mothers Association’, and ‘Korea Welfare Facilities Association for the Disabled.’”

Over the past year, IU started by lending a helping hand to the charity briquette collection fund for low-income and vulnerable groups in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do in January 2023, to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, a child welfare institution, on Children’s Day last May, and to Milal School. I donated my talent.

Also, on her birthday in May, she donated 300 million won to the Heart to Heart Foundation, Straight Donation, Korea Unwed Mothers and Families Association, and Korea Foundation for the Vulnerable Senior Citizens’ Comprehensive Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone, and on her debut anniversary on September 18, she donated 300 million won to Asan, Seoul under the name of ‘IUANA.’ This was reported to the hospital, Korea Child Welfare Association, and Seoul Children’s Hospital. In addition to her past year, IU has been a heartwarming example by donating consistently for several years, awakening the public’s interest in her donation and sharing culture.

IU said through her agency, “The new year has arrived. You may not be able to be happy 365 days a year, but I hope you have a year where you have far more happy days than sad days, and I hope you stay healthy. “Happy New Year everyone,” she said in her New Year greeting.

IU debuted in the music industry in 2008, and received passionate love from people of all ages and genders for each song she released, including the mini album ‘Piece of Pieces’ released in 2021. In addition to her main job as a singer, she also worked as an actress in movies and dramas, solidifying her position as a leading actress.

Meanwhile, IU is busy preparing for her new album.
