Voters attend the 2024 National Popular Consultation for projects that will benefit Venezuelan communities this Sunday in a climate of total normality, while the day progresses rapidly in the more than 15,000 voting centers installed in the South American country.

Venezuelans participate this Sunday in the great national consultation called “The communes can do more”, as a way to promote participatory and inclusive democracy in the country, which will serve to choose thousands of popular projects.

With the support of the National Electoral Council (CNE), a total of 15,617 voting centers were enabled in the 24 states of this South American nation, which opened their doors starting at 06:00 local time (10:00 GMT).

This democratic exercise will end at 6:00 p.m. local time (10:00 p.m. GMT) as long as there are no voters in line.

In the 24 states of the country there are 4,500 communes, whose members proposed various social projects in each one, totaling nearly 25,000.

The projects are aimed at sectors such as health, education, food, security, environment, public services and economy.
