The government, the media and the public are turning their attention to rising petrol and diesel prices, while the price of one of the most popular alternative fuels is even steeper. The average price of CNG has currently matched the price of petrol. However, the situation is even more critical in several places in the Czech Republic, gas stations often sell a kilogram of compressed natural gas for as little as CZK 100! In contrast, LPG, or liquefied petroleum gas, still stays at the level of 20 crowns.
