The PlayStation 5 release is getting closer of course. The console will launch next month. We recently announced which one games all of them released at the launch of the console. Meanwhile, more and more (3rd) party peripherals are becoming available that you can pre-order before the release. We have listed the most interesting ones for you.
PS5 docking station
You can of course buy the official PS5 charging station, but you also have third party stations which are even more ideal. The charging station below serves as a ‘standard’ for the unit itself and can charge 5 controllers at the same time. Two can be placed in the docking station and 3 can be charged via USB. So if you are looking for a compact system, this is the ideal solution. You can access the docking station via He was order for 39.95 Euro.
PS5 faceplates
Of faceplates of the PlayStation 5 are interchangeable. Via the website of Platestation5.com you can now order interchangeable faceplates, with which you can change the standard look of the console. The plates cost $ 39.99 and can simply be clicked on the console. You can simply click off the current faceplate. Sony makes it easy to change the look of the console. The faceplates currently on offer are available in Limited Edition V1 Mat Black, Chromatic, Cherry Red, Jungle Camo and Indigo Blue styles. Undoubtedly, they won’t be the only faceplates to come out in the coming months.
PS5 Remote
You can of course use Blu-Ray movies on the PlayStation 5 that you can play via the optical drive. Then you have to buy the version with the Blu-Ray player on board. The Digital Only version cannot do this. But if you want to use movies or streaming services, you can use a special PS5 Remote, a remote control that Sony will offer. This remote makes it easier to fast forward, to select the next video and to browse through different films. The remote costs 29.99 Euro and is via Amazon available at the launch of the console.
PS5 Controller Skins
If you don’t like white, you can also change the look of the controller. With the skins from Gerrey you can completely change the look of the DualSense to black, but also to other colors. For 19.95 Euro you can buy skins like Camo Red, Camo Desert and Skin Paint White. There are a lot more skins available for the peripherals, but you don’t see them as beautiful as these so far. More information you can here and you can also order them directly if you are interested.
Western Digital SSD (500GB, 1TB, 2TB)
Solid State Drives are expensive. So we can be happy that they are standard in the PS5 and Xbox Series X. But they are not great. They have a capacity of about 1 terabyte, which is not bad, but it can always be more, since games can quickly reach 50 to 100 gigabytes, especially with today’s patches. Western Digital currently offers SSDs that you can plug into the console. These are NVMe SSDs that are available in various sizes and expand the standard format of the PS5 storage capacity by 500 gig, 1 terabyte or even 2 terabyte. The SSDs are extremely fast because they are connected directly to the motherboard through a mortise slot. The SSDs cost $ 149.99, $ 229.99 and $ 449.99 consecutively and can be found on the website of Western Digital self. The SSD operates at approximately 5.5 GB / s bandwidth, which is a lot more than the standard PCIe 3.0 drive standard, which peaks at 3.5 GB / s. The disadvantage is the price tag. Sony has not yet officially recognized them as being compatible with the PS5, but they will work with the console. Sony will probably soon recognize them as unofficial compatible storage media.
