Pope Francis will visit a cemetery in Rome on November 2, the feast of All Dead in the Latin Church.
Mr. Jinu Thekketalakkal, Vatican City
On November 2, the Feast of All Dead, Pope Francis will celebrate Mass and offer special prayers at the largest cemetery in Rome, Laurentino.
In 2018, Pope Francis visited the same place and offered prayers. This cemetery is located on the outskirts of Rome on 21 hectares. During the Pope’s visit in 2018, before the Eucharist, special prayers were said in the “Garden of Angels” where the children were buried.
But last year Pope Francis “performed the ceremonies in the cemetery where the war dead in Rome are buried. The place where the graves of the war dead are located is called the Commonwealth Cemetery. At the same time, the Pope also made a strong request “not to kill each other in wars anymore.”
