Pope Francis welcomes attendees at ‘Outreach’ conference – Vatican News

Pope Francis expressed his spiritual closeness to those present at the conference of LGBTQ members that will be held at Georgetown University in the United States from August 2nd to 4th.

Pope Francis addressed a gathering of LGBTQ Catholics at Georgetown University in the United States. Around 300 people will attend the conference. The conference, which began on August 2, will include theologians, scholars, educators, pastors, clergy, and LGBTQ advocates speaking on a variety of topics.

After this, the Jesuit priest spoke to him and greeted the members. Cardinal Wilton Gregory, Archbishop of Washington, will offer Holy Communion to the participants.

In his short message, the Pope noted that he was very happy to know that the cardinals were celebrating Holy Mass for the members and united in prayer. The Pope asked for the blessing of Jesus and the protection of the Holy Mother.

This is the fourth time Pope Francis has addressed Catholic outreach programs for LGBTQ members.
