An announcement from the Holy See Press Office stated that during cordial conversations held at the Holy See Council of State, the two sides “expressed their appreciation for the effective cooperation in the planning of World Youth Day and the Pope’s visit to Portugal from August 2 to 6 this year. The announcement pointed out that during the talks, the two sides also exchanged views on “the international situation, with particular attention to the consequences of the war in Ukraine and the phenomenon of migration.”
