Pope Francis asks the faithful to celebrate the feast of All Saints – Vatican News

The Pope made a special reference to the Feast of All Saints at a general meeting held in the Vatican on Wednesday 30 October.

Calling everyone to celebrate this feast, the Pope said that through this feast, the Church reminds us of one of the most important aspects of its existence, our call to heavenly glory .

The Pope reminded us that all the saints are in heaven to help us through their fellowship in our journey towards our goal of heavenly glory. On November 1 at noon, as usual in previous years, Pope Francis led the triple prayer at the Vatican.

It is believed that the veneration of the saints began at the end of the 2nd century. The Feast of All Saints began in the East in the 4th century. By the 8th century in England and Ireland, this festival was celebrated on November 1. The same day was recognized as the feast day of All Saints in Rome before the ninth century.
