Pope criticizes couples without children: ‘But they do have two dogs or two cats’ Abroad

Vatican CITY – Pope Francis on Wednesday criticized couples who do not want children. “So many couples don’t have kids because they don’t want any, or they only have one because they don’t want any more. But they do have two dogs or two cats,” the 85-year-old church leader said during his general audience in the Vatican audience hall. “Dogs and cats take the place of children. Yes, I understand, that makes you laugh, but that’s the reality.”
