Vatican CITY: The health conditions of the former Pope Benedict XVI remain critical. Doctors are monitoring him in a convent in the Vatican.
After visiting him, Pope Francis announced that today a special prayer will be held for him at San Giovanni in Laterano in Rome.
The health conditions of the 95-year-old Benedict XVI have been critical for several days. Benedict XVI had abdicated in 2013 due to health problems and withdrew from public life. Benedict XVI is the first pope to abdicate in 600 years.
“Let’s remember that. He is very tired. We pray God to keep him as a witness of his love for the Church and to give him comfort ”- said Pope Francis in his weekly homily.
