Cassie and her ex-boyfriend Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have reached a settlement. The news comes a day after the singer accused him of rape and assault.
The parties announced on Friday evening that they have reached an agreement. Details of the terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably, under terms that are, to some extent, within my control,” Cassie said in a statement. “I would like to thank my family, fans and advocates for their support.”
Combs also responded in a statement: “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Lots of love.”
Cassie, 37, filed the charges against her 54-year-old ex in federal court on Thursday. The pair had an on-again, off-again relationship for more than ten years. The singer, known for the hit Me & Uwas also under contract with Combs’ record label for a long time.
