“Poor Jamoncito” reappeared in the Senate with a sketch between Mayans and Villarruel | The most talked about moment of the session

In his closing speech, Kirchnerite senator José Mayans said that President Javier Milei is a “little ham,” reproducing an expression that Vice President Victoria Villarruel had used months before, and generated a moment of relaxation during the session in which the increase in pensions was approved.

“Milei thinks he understands more about economics than the 20 foxes he has behind him, including (Domingo) Cavallo, (Luis) Caputo. They are all part of a clan. He is a poor thing. He is a little ham, the vice president would say,” argued Mayans, laughing.
Villarruel, with a smile, replied: “Thank you for the favor, Mayans. Thank you for bringing me up. A friend.”

To which Mayans replied: “I liked the adjective. We have to deepen our friendship, Madam President.”

Last March, the Senate president had described in this way the relationship she has with Milei and that she shares with the president’s sister and general secretary of the Presidency, Karina Milei.

“He was left in the middle, poor little ham,” Villarruel had said at that time.

The confrontation was not so funny for the Mileista trolls who immediately attacked the vice president, accusing her of flirting with Peronism and facing the episode as a new betrayal of the President.

In fact, the comic sketch came at the worst moment of the internal dispute between the vice president and the Milei brothers, after a series of clashes that this time began when they left her out of the Armed Forces camaraderie dinner, continued with her not attending the event for San Martín in Mendoza and ended with the public rejection of Milei’s offer to Judge Lijo to occupy a place in the Supreme Court, just before his presentation in the Senate.
