Mark Designer, a man from Zimbabwe trying to please his girlfriend. He was willing to fast for 40 days to get a car Lamborghini his girlfriend’s dream. But instead of getting the ‘Italian bull’, Mark Muradzira was weak and finally admitted to the hospital.
Quoted by the Daily Star, Thursday (27/5/2021), the 27-year-old man, the Youth Leader of the Risen Saints Church in Bindura, tried to fast for 40 days. He even meditated on a remote mountain so as not to be tempted by appetite.
Muradzira, who is also known to be unemployed, is eager to give his girlfriend the car of his dreams. But he does not have £ 150,000 around Rp. 3 billion (exchange rate £ 1 = Rp. 20,197) to buy Lamborghini.
He decided to fast for 40 days after his girlfriend said that the Lamborghini was his dream car. Muradzira also hopes that by fasting, God can grant his wish to own a Lamborghini.
But not even 40 days of fasting, Muradzira’s plan did not go well. After fasting for 33 days, his friends began to worry and tracked down the man.
Muradzira was found in a limp condition, then he was taken to Bindura General Hospital, Zimbabwe.
“He must at least fast to find a job, because he is unemployed,” said the head of his church, Bishop Mawuru.
Muradzira’s church colleagues began trying to raise money to buy £ 150,000 worth of Lambo for their poor colleague. But the fundraising only raised around £ 30 or around Rp. 600 thousand.
The money that was collected in the end could not be used to buy a Lamborghini. The problem is that it is used up to pay Muradzira’s medical bills.
