Poor, Already Sleeping in the Office Twitter Manager Still Fired

After layoffs thousands of employees Twitter, Elon Musk Not satisfied with efficiency. Most recently, there were around 200 Twitter employees laid off again. One of them happened to Esther Crawford, an employee who is known to be loyal.

Crawford’s photo went viral some time after Twitter was bought by Elon Musk. He is seen sleeping in the office, regarding Musk’s order that employees work hard to revive the company.

As quoted detikINET from the New York Post, Crawford won Elon Musk’s trust and was asked to take care of Twitter Blue as Product Manager. But for some reason, he was also fired in the latest wave of layoffs on Twitter.

The layoffs that befell him were also widely discussed on Twitter. It turns out that even a loyal employee like him did not escape Elon Musk’s dismissal. Crawford also responded to the criticism addressed to him.

“Worst conclusion from you guys looking at me all this at Twitter 2.0 is that my optimism and hard work was a mistake. Those who mock me are not in the same arena. I’m so proud of the team that kept building through the chaos and noise,” he wrote.

Some Twitter users accused Crawford of sycophant, while others were astonished. “Absolutely shocking that sleeping in the office isn’t enough,” wrote another.

Crawford, who is entrusted with overseeing Twitter subscription service Blue, stands out because he is one of the few trusted employees of Musk who hasn’t been brought in from one of his other companies namely Tesla, SpaceX, and The Boring Co. Yes, he is a long time on Twitter.

Crawford is one of dozens of engineers, product managers, data scientists, and team heads who were laid off from Twitter. As mentioned, at least 200 employees were laid off in this latest round of layoffs.
