One of the tools available to poolers is waivers, where the unclaimed players in their league are. Throughout the season, I will suggest each week to the poolers a few names of players who could be on waivers and who could help them for the week to come.

POOLERS : News from the infirmary | Top-100 forwards | Top-50 defenders | Top-25 goalies
Without further ado, here are three players that poolers should target for the next week and who may be available in their pool.
Dryden Hunt, Rangers de New York (A) – In his first four seasons in the NHL, Hunt has never been able to score more than three goals in a season. He is likely to surpass that total this week if he manages to keep his place on the first line of the Rangers in the company of Ryan Strome and Artemi Panarin, with whom he has been skating for two games. He proved his coach Gerard Gallant right with a goal and an assist in his last game against the Boston Bruins on Friday, which should guarantee him at least one more chance with his two talented line-mates. In addition to a surprising offensive contribution, Hunt is able to make a contribution in a number of ways for poolers playing in multi-category leagues. He has notably distributed seven hits in his last two games. An option for poolers to consider this week, especially since Hunt is available in almost all leagues.

Jesper Bratt, Devils du New Jersey (A) – After a tough start where Bratt was shut out in his first five games with a minus-2 rating and 10 shots, the 23-year-old Swedish forward has been one of the NHL’s most dangerous forwards for the past few weeks. In his last 14 games, Bratt has amassed 17 points (five goals, 12 assists), plus a plus-11 rating, which both places him tied for sixth in the league during that streak. . He’s also landed 44 shots since Oct. 30, making Bratt an asset in the multi-category leagues. Bratt evolves with Dawson Mercer and Andreas Johnsson at even strength, and if ever the Devils’ power play, anemic this season with a 12.7 percent yield (30th overall NHL), could unlock, Bratt’s performance could become downright spectacular. Despite sustained use on the first wave of the power play, Bratt has amassed just two points in power play this season.

Adam Boqvist, Blue Jackets de Columbus (D) – Boqvist is showing why it is one of the centerpieces of the transaction that made Seth Jones to the Chicago Blackhawks during the offseason. The 21-year-old full-back has been on a roll since returning to the game with a lower-body injury that deprived him of seven games. Since returning to the squad on November 15, Boqvist is second among all defensemen in the league with four goals, and his six points tie him for seventh in his position. He has been employed on the first wave of the power game for a few meetings with Zach Werenski on the blue line, which allowed him to collect three points on the power play in his last three games. The surprising Blue Jackets will be in action four times this week, increasing Boqvist’s value for the next seven days.
