Pontevedra is the only Galician province that wins voters compared to the municipal ones in 2019

A total of 2,225,962 Galicians are called to the polls in the next municipal elections to be held on May 28, which is about 22,600 less than in the last elections of 2019, according to data from the electoral census published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), which show that only Pontevedra wins in number of voters.
Specifically, some 924,407 Coruese voters will be able to elect their mayors this Sunday, which is almost 6,350 fewer than four years ago. Of these, 2,297 are foreigners.
In Lugo, 270,272 people are called to the polls (almost 9,270 less), of which 1,173 are foreigners. In Ourense, the figure remains at 255,523 (-7,121 people), of which 2,633 are foreigners.
For their part, in Pontevedra 775,760 people will be able to exercise their right to vote, of which 3,337 are foreigners. This means positioning itself as the only Galician province that wins voters, with just over 80 new voters.
At the national level, this May 28, 36,585,840 voters will be able to vote.
