The general director of Xuventude, Participation and Volunteering, Cristina Pichel, presented this morning the program for the second edition of the Primavera Xove programme. This initiative will be made up of three different action formats that will take place during the months of April and May and are aimed at offering leisure alternatives to young people over 14 years of age.
The general director highlighted the importance of these activities, launched for the first time last year to ensure that youth maintain safe leisure while continuing to enjoy training forums and entertainment spaces. The offer of this new edition is distinguished between the Holy Week and weekend program in youth hostels, the training and networking meetings on university campuses, and the Spring Xove Fairs in the twelve Thursday spaces dependent on the Xunta de Galicia .
All measures will be carried out following the prevention, safety and hygiene measures established by the health authorities. As far as the first group of activities is concerned, those interested must register through a form that can be filled out directly on the youth.xunta.es website. Places will be assigned in strict order of arrival of the forms.
Weekend and fairs
In this initiative, a total of 600 places are offered in different facilities, such as the Gandarío youth hostel (Bergondo), the Las Sinas youth hostel (Vilanova de Arousa), the Marina Española hostel (Sada), the Area youth hostel (Viveiro) , the Pontemaril youth camp (Forcarei), the Lug 2 youth hostel (Lugo), the O Carballiño Free Time Residence or the Manzaneda mountain station (A Pobra de Trives). People who are awarded a place must pay a price of 25 euros for weekend activities and 150 euros for Easter.
The fairs in the twelve youth spaces of the Xunta will allow talks by inspiring people such as Lucas Requejo, from the Prato do association; Luis Veira, from the A Coruña restaurant Árbore da Veira; or Fon Barreiro, creator of comics. There will also be workshops on different disciplines such as graffiti, table tennis, photography, cooking or Tik-Tok.

Conferences on Galician university campuses
Likewise, each of the conferences on university campuses, aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years of age, will be focused on a specific area and the speakers will be relevant Galician professionals in each of the fields. Specifically, 5 different types of activities will be offered, which will tour the campuses of A Coruña, Santiago, Vigo and Ourense throughout the five Wednesdays of the months of April and May.
The themes of the actions will be the following: Innovation and innovators in the digital world, Environment and sustainability, Emotional education, Young talent and Culture and creativity. In the next few days, registration will be opened to participate in all these initiatives.
