The criminal court de Melun, during his hearing on Monday, November 23, delivered his deliberate in the case of public markets from the city of Pontault-Combault.
A long-awaited court decision because of the heavy and long procedure initiated in 2013 and the very personality of its protagonists. A judgment that goes against the requisitions since general release of all the defendants was pronounced.
Audience marathon
Last October, a marathon audience 2 pm had allowed to hear the four men involved in this case of alleged fraud in the public markets of the city of Pontault-Combault.
The incriminated facts going back more than 7 years, had been revealed, initially, by an anonymous mail who denounced two suspicious auctions passed by the municipality at the time to private providers: one for pruning work, the other for an audit market on computer equipment related to the management of school canteens. In the sights, a former deputy mayor, the former director of technical services, as well as two companies (SDC for green spaces, including one of its employees in pruning and Synergie-Associés for IT) .
Cedric Pommot
Main defendant, Cedric Pommot was, at the time of the incriminated facts (from January 2012 to April 2013), first deputy of the municipality and dolphin appointed to succeed the then mayor, Monique Delessard.
As president of the tender call commissiones, he was prosecuted for infringing the equality of treatment of candidates on these municipal contracts involving large sums (€ 368,000 for one and € 700,000 for the other). Also warned in this case, the former director of technical services of the town, Gilles Bénédic, Eusebio Sanchez, pruner from the offending SCD company, and Alexandre Rolland, manager of the company Synergie-Associés beneficiary of the technical audit contract of invoicing of canteens. All of them fiercely denied the facts.
The court therefore chose the acquittal thus hearing the lawyers of the defendants who had requested it, pleading the innocence of their client. Cédric Pommot has always proclaimed loud and clear: “All my action was dictated by the sole defense of the interests of the municipality and the finances of the city”.
For his lawyer, Me Alexis Guedj, “Cédric Pommot was the target of political settling of scores. “He adds:” There was no offense noted in this file and the defendants were not questioned by the prosecution during the hearing which however lasted hours. Everyone had been waiting for this trial for years. They are finally cleared! “
