The Pont-Saint-Esprit brass band festival, the aptly named Fanfa’Rhône, will be back for its third edition on July 16 and 17, with an enriched program.

Enriched with a bonus before the festival: “We will come and play with the local brass band La tête dans l’Cuivre, founded last year, on Wednesday July 14”, explains Clément Gueneau, who is organizing the event via the Fanfarus spiritus association, in partnership with the town hall. Ideal launch for a festival that promises a beautiful festive atmosphere.

We will get to the heart of the matter on Friday July 16 from 7 p.m. in Saint-Pierre Square, “With a fanfare aperitif, a refreshment bar, something to nibble on and a Battle of brass bands that will play in different places to create a festive atmosphere”, presents Clément Gueneau. Four food trucks will be on site. Note that the renovated Saint-Pierre staircase will be usable by then, and that the zip line on the Rhône will have started on July 9.

The next day, the brass bands will liven up the Saturday morning market, before the highlight of the festival from 6 p.m. in the town hall park. “Each fanfare will play a 45-minute set on stage”, specifies the organizer. In addition to La Tête dans l’Cuivre, five brass bands will participate in the festival. We will therefore find the Coco fanfare club of Montpellier, which will offer “Rainbow disco-festive”, presents Clément Gueneau, the Krapô, who came from Lyon and who are “A little fanfare dads”, the GGBB for Groove grave brass band, also from Montpellier, specialized in mashups (« NTM featuring Chopin »), the Lille people of the Tractopelles and their disco hits and finally the Pompier pony club, from Marseille, present since the beginning of the festival and who will come this year “More numerous than ever. “

In all, “There will be 80 musicians to dance, sing and have fun”, promises Clément Gueneau, all for free, for this festival which is as popular as it is festive. “We hope that this festival will continue and become a must in the region, and even more”, says cultural assistant Christine Clerc.

Note that no health pass is required to access the festival, the gauge being limited to 1,000 people over 11 years old.
