Strategi.id – The POM Agency has issued an emergency use permit (EUA) for the Pfizer Covid-19 Vaccine, also known as the Comirnaty vaccine.
The vaccine produced by Pfizer and BioNTech is a type of vaccine with an mRNA platform that must be stored specifically at ultra-low temperatures (-90° to -60°C).
The use of Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine is for people >12 years old with an efficacy rate >16 years old reaching 95.5% and at 12-15 years old being 100%.
Similar to other Covid-19 vaccines currently being used in Indonesia, vaccination is carried out through intramuscular injections which are carried out 2 times in a span of 3 weeks. It’s just that the dosage is different, which is 0.3 mL per injection.
Until now, the most common reactions (AEFI) include pain at the injection site, fatigue, headache, muscle aches, chills, joint pain, and fever.
