Polvas ‘Serviti’ overtakes Dobele ‘Tenax’ and takes the leading position in the Baltic handball league

Until now, the Latvian handball club Dobeles has been in charge of most of the season “Tenax“, but after two losses in away games in Estonia, he failed to strengthen his leading position, thus leaving the closest followers the opportunity to overtake it.

It was the team Polva “Serviti” that was the closest follower. Before the match on November 28, both teams had the same number of points in the overall table – 10 points each, but the team “Tenax” had a better throw-lost goal ratio. However, Serviti had played one less game and gave the opportunity to take the lead.

This weekend, Polva’s “Serviti” has to play another game against the Estonian handball club “Viljandi”. In case of victory, they will have gained 14 points, thus becoming a stable leader. However, already on December 6, another game of the combined Baltic handball league and “SynotTip” handball super league is expected between the teams Dobele “Tenax” and Riga “Celtnieks”, which will enable Dobel players to regain the leading positions.
