The former leader of the BSP, now the chairman of the ABV, Georgi Parvanov and the former social minister Ivaylo Kalfin, who is also from the ranks of the BSP, although he left it a long time ago, are persona non grata for rank-and-file socialistsalthough the prevailing attitudes at the referendum were for a broad left-wing coalition.

In the internal party poll, the results of which will be ready tomorrow, more than 70% of the socialists in Sofia voted, the leader of the capital’s Reds, Kaloyan Pargov, announced. On average for the country, the turnout is 50 percent, said the chairman of the central election commission, Anton Kutev.

The internal party referendum in BSP started last Monday. The socialists had to answer two questions, with multiple options for each answer.

The first question was how the BSP works in the presidential elections: in a coalition with other parties and organizations, such as the party supporting the candidate of the other party or organization, or as uninvited candidate nominated by the initiative committee.
The other party was the BSP to negotiate for the nomination of joint candidates for the presidency – the party candidate of “BSP – Left Bulgaria”, the proposals of ABV, “Ataka”, “Movement” 21” DPS, NFSB or dpygi. The bulletin for the survey was published by the National Council.
