Duda won 41.8% of the vote, while his main rival, Warsaw Mayor Rafal Chaskowski, who represents the opposition Conservative Liberal Party (Civic Platform) (PO), was voted by 30.4%.
As the winner of the first round, Duda, has not won at least half of the votes, he will have to hold the second round of elections scheduled for July 12.
