Maurice de Hond’s new poll on Sunday shows that support for the parties that will form the new cabinet together is extremely low. The VVD loses seats this week and the electoral position of the CDA and D66 has weakened so much in relation to the elections.
It is expected that the negotiating parties will draft coalition agreement present. On the ‘eve’ of this event, Maurice de Hond’s poll shows that support for these parties is at an all-time low. The CDA is in all polls only a shadow of what it was and D66 has also rapidly lost the seats it has won. The VVD is also increasingly losing a seat in the polls.
With the exception of the ChristenUnie, all coalition parties are giving up seats. Virtually speaking, the VVD has already lost four seats, the CDA has lost almost two thirds of the seats and D66 also threw away the election gains within a year. In the meantime, it is expected that these parties will sit together in a cabinet.
And you already know that they will do everything in their power not to squander any more seats, which amounts to three years of slack and indecisive policy. While the Netherlands has enough issues knows those demands for a firm and decisive approach.

Remarkably enough, the new parties (BBB, JA21 and Volt) in particular benefit from the electoral rumblings. Precisely because they advocate a new sound, or claim to be a new sound, they are able to attract many new voters. The main question is therefore what they will do with this support. Critical opposition or are they going to reach out to Rutte IV?
