Poll: Are the population worried about the migrant crisis on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border? | The news



Recently, the flow of migrants from Iraq and other countries across the Lithuanian-Belarusian border has increased sharply. Lithuanian officials believe that the Belarussian regime is deliberately facilitating the flow of migrants and is concerned that a similar scenario could recur in Latvia. What is the public opinion on this issue?

A survey conducted by Kantar shows the following: 35% of Latvians aged 18 to 60 have indicated that they are worried about the migrant crisis at the Lithuanian-Belarusian border, almost as many respondents said that they are not worried about this crisis.

About one-fifth of the population is unaware of the migrant crisis on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border, but almost a tenth have no opinion on the issue.
