Poll: 39 percent want Rutte as prime minister Inland

VVD voters are most enthusiastic about the idea of Rutte IV (89%), but of the D66 members only less than a quarter see Rutte as the ideal leader (24%).

In the weekly seat poll of De Hond, the VVD loses 2 seats compared to last week. Prime Minister Rutte’s party has 34 seats, the same number as was obtained in the elections in March.

The right-wing parties have a slight tailwind in the poll. FVD is now with 7 on the highest score since shortly after the elections. The PVV is also on a small profit, while JA21 goes back from 6 to 5 seats (2 seats profit). BBB remains strong with 7 seats.

On the left, the PvdD now has 8 (virtual) seats, making it almost as big as SP and GroenLinks and bigger than ChristenUnie and CDA.

Of the coalition parties, CDA and D66 have suffered the largest losses compared to the election results. De Hond now estimates 5 seats for the Christian Democrats (-10), and 17 seats for D66 (-7).

The CDA in particular has a lot of problems with ‘runaways’. Only 35% of the CDA voters would now do that again.
