As an LREM member for the Thionville constituency, what do you remember from 2020?
Isabelle RAUCH: “We stood firm in the face of uncertainty. 2020 was a year of twists and turns, we had to move forward by questioning everything that we considered to be political and scientific achievements. This virus showed us that we had to constantly adapt to the unprecedented, and revealed the best and the worst in each of us. We have always been on this ridge for the common good. “

What will be the cases marked as priority in 2021?
“The mobilization for cross-border workers remains full and complete. Social agreements run until June 30 and tax agreements until March 31, from a very optimistic perspective. For me, the priority is to prepare this way out of the crisis. I would like us to speed up the reflection on teleworking at national level so that we can then be able to take it forward at European level. 2021 is also the preparation for the intergovernmental conference. I have already written down various subjects concerning cross-border workers, such as long-term care insurance, the extended use of the child welcome check, teleworking, of course, and work-study training so that young people can train in both. sides of the border. We must think in the Franco-Luxembourgish life basin and no longer in the country. We will all gain in terms of co-development. “
What do you wish for Thionvilloises and Thionvillois for this new year?
“Happiness, good humor, serenity, health, of course, and the ability to mobilize all of us together to move forward, overcome obstacles and consolidate social ties damaged by Covid-19. “
