Help with the purchase of electric bikes
It was a commitment made by the candidate Pierre Cuny during the municipal elections: the establishment of financial assistance for the purchase of an electric bicycle. This is now done with the approval of the board. In 2021, residents of Thionville will be able to benefit from aid of € 100 within six months of purchasing a cycle.
“It will be possible to benefit from this aid twice per household and it will be renewable after five years without condition of resources. It can of course be combined with state aid. In addition, as many Thionville residents have already bought their bikes, the aid will be retroactive for purchases made until June 2020, ”adds Laurent Tschiersch.
Aid welcomed by EELV which elected officials would however have preferred to be higher. “Rome was not built in a day,” replied the mayor.
