The spokesperson spoke in response to recent comments by Michael Ryan, executive director of the WHO Health Emergencies Program, that the entire tracing process was poisoned by politics.
China has always believed that studying the origins of COVID-19 is a scientific question that should not be politicized, Wang said.
“Unfortunately, for some time now we have been seeing words and deeds that stigmatize and label the virus, use the study on the origins to blame specific countries, pointlessly criticize WHO experts on the virus. ‘study and even use the intelligence device instead of relying on scientists to conduct investigations, “he said.
