Politicians should admit that everyone has sinned in energy –

/ world today news/ The energy industry is sick, I’ve been saying it for many years – there are serious price imbalances, and everyone can calculate that.

In this sector, the inflow of cash is much less than the expenditure, which means that there are persistent structurally determined imbalances. And at the moment, what is happening I can compare to a typical situation in every Italian family – when there is no money, arguments start. It could be said that it is a storm in a teacup, but the parties have taken such a hard line that things are tipping towards an unfavorable scenario, he said. Formally speaking, the situation is not in favor of energy supply companies. I emphasize that these are not the ERPs, because they are the collector part of the energy sector. About BGN 4 billion pass through them, and they are paid to NEK, and NEK to producers. I.e. they guarantee the monetary sustainability of the system. And in a situation in which NEK owes the electricity supply companies the counter-interception carried out by the ERP, without mutual consent, and apparently there is no such thing, as the lawyers explained, it is a violation of the law and is a reason to revoke their license. Another thing is that taking away the license will not change the situation because there is nowhere for this money to come from. At the moment, there is a systematically determined “hole” of about BGN 500 million, which will accumulate every year, and this is the result of bad forecasts and policies in the energy sector. I will put it more simply – it is intended, and it is the responsibility of every government, to deliver energy to the end user at minimum costs. In this situation, in the energy sector, it was planned that by 2020 the maximum introduced capacities for photovoltaics would be 303 megawatts, currently they are 1013 megawatts. And I’ll tell you what the difference is – if it were these 303 megawatts, by today’s date about 180-200 million BGN should have been collected from the end users, and now the required amount is over 700 million BGN. You see how as a result of a simple , this “hole” of about BGN 500 million, which cannot be covered in any other way than by increasing the so-called green energy supplement and double it.

It is not the work of one person, one group of people, and everyone in the energy sector must sit at the negotiating table. And most importantly, politicians must have a political consensus that things are not going well in energy and not use these problems for political purposes. Because energy has already proven once that it can overthrow a government, and it will overthrow every subsequent government if there is no solution. Then we will go to the Italian option of continuously electing a government. So we have a severe structural problem and only on the basis of consensus can a solution be sought – to see how much the imbalances are, how realistically the price of electricity should be increased, to strengthen the social vector for those who cannot pay, and those who can – pay it. To have stable energy – because the other option is destabilization of the state. Even I allowed myself to change to a political position by addressing through the media and expressing an opinion: in the upcoming political battle of the European elections, I will vote for the party that has put consensus in the energy sector as an absolute priority. And if this happens, the politicians, instead of spitting at each other, should sit at the table and say: we have all sinned, let’s create conditions for the stability of the next government, whatever it will be. /BGNES
