ARNHEM – Peter Verdijk of the local party Arnhem Central stops all his political activities, after there has been a lot of commotion about a message he posted on Facebook in mid-February. In that message, he wished all SGPers a disease that would cause them to die “extremely painfully with no hope of a cure.” Verdijk was angry about the position of the SGP on gay marriage.
