Member of the DPR RI politician and businessman Muhammad Rapsel Ali passed away today Sunday (9/4).
This sad news was confirmed by the Secretary of the DPR’s NasDem Fraction, Saan Mustopa.
“Correct [meninggal dunia],” said Saan when confirmed CNNIndonesia.com.
Rapsel is a member of the DPR from the NasDem Fraction for the 2019-2024 period. He is the husband of the fourth daughter of Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, Siti Nur Azizah Ma’ruf.
Rapsel was born on May 6, 1971. He is the older sibling of the Regent of Selayar Muhammad Basli Ali.
In its political work, Rapsel represents the electoral district of South Sulawesi I which includes Bulukumba Regency, Sinjai Regency, Selayar Islands Regency, Bantaeng Regency, Jeneponto Regency, Takalar Regency, Gowa Regency and Makassar City.
As a member of the DPR, Rapsel sits on Commission VI of the DPR RI.
Rapsel graduated from SMA Karya 2 Makassar in 1989. Throughout his life, Ma’ruf Amin’s son-in-law was active in organizations.
Rapsel was the Chairman of ARDIN South Sulawesi in 1997-2003. He also served as Chairman of GAPEKSINDO South Sulawesi in the same period.
In 2013-2018, Rapsel was recorded as participating in the Board of Trustees of the Lembang Sembilan Institute.
Rapsel is also involved in the automotive sector because he likes motorbikes. In this field, he was Head of Public Relations and Documentation of the Central Harley Davidson Club Indonesia (HDCI) in the 2012-2016 period.
Rapsel has also been the coach of the Ridiss Bikerzz Artist Club Moge from 2014 to 2023.
Apart from being a politician, Rapsel is also listed as a commissioner of a number of business companies.
In 2004-2015, Rapsel became Deputy Main Director of PT HAMU Investama Corporindo. From 2008 to 2023, he held the position of President Director of PT Negarawan Indonesia.
Furthermore, from 2015 until now, Rapsel has served as Commissioner of PT HAMU Investama Corporindo. In the adjacent range, namely 2017-2023, he became President Commissioner of PT Fox Indonesia Multimedia Digital.
Raspel died at his residence in Makassar City, South Sulawesi, at the age of 51. He reportedly died of a heart attack.
