Political Year: Utilizing Every Moment for Political Gain

Fadli Zon, the Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party, has commented on the recent action taken by Ganjar Pranowo, the governor of Central Java and vice president of PDIP. Ganjar had called the Acting Governor of DKI, Heru Budi, after receiving complaints from residents in North Jakarta. Fadli Zon believes that this action is normal, especially in a political year where every moment is used for political gain.

Fadli Zon stated, “In my opinion, it’s normal, right? In a political year, all moments should be used for political gain. People can also judge that there must be positives and negatives. I think it’s normal in a democracy. That’s it.” He made these comments to reporters at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta.

While Fadli Zon sees Ganjar’s action as normal, he also acknowledges that each region has a regional head with their own responsibilities. He believes that there is an opportunity for socialization and conveying aspirations, which is only natural.

Fadli Zon further emphasized that the political year is a time to gain political support, and people will judge whether someone’s actions are acceptable or not. He stated, “This is a political year, everything must be done with a plan in obtaining political support. So, it’s only natural. It’s just that there are people who accept it, there are those who might see that it’s not quite right.”

As a politician, Fadli Zon believes it is normal to take advantage of every moment for political gain. He stated, “For me as a politician, yes, it’s normal for a political person to take advantage of every moment, that’s all that’s left for the public to judge.”

Fadli Zon also highlighted that regional heads are responsible for the areas they lead. He mentioned that in the area led by Ganjar, there are still problems that need to be resolved. He stated, “Let people judge, yes, the community will judge. I said earlier that there must always be pros and cons. Indeed, the natural thing is that every regional head is responsible and that regional head means that he has borders, has regional boundaries, yes.”

He further added, “If he becomes governor in one place, of course his responsibility is in the place where he was given the mandate, not in another place. Meanwhile, in the place where the mandate is given, there are still problems, right, so people judge it differently.”

In conclusion, Fadli Zon believes that Ganjar’s action of calling Heru Budi is normal in a political year. He emphasizes that regional heads have their own responsibilities, and people will judge their actions accordingly.

  1. The never-ending quest for political gain consumes every minute of our political year, leaving little room for genuine progress or meaningful change. It’s disheartening to witness the relentless strategies employed by politicians, as they prioritize personal ambitions over the greater good of society. It’s high time we break away from this cycle and focus on finding leaders who prioritize the people they serve instead of their own political gain.

  2. This emphasizes the unfortunate truth in modern politics where seizing every moment for political gain seems to take precedence over genuine progress and serving the people.
