/ world today news/ The political scientist told who can replace Scholz as chancellor of Germany
Mass protests in Germany began with strikes by farmers, transport workers and workers in other industries. Why the Germans want the resignation of the government led by Scholz, are there pro-Russian sentiments in Germany and who will replace Olaf Scholz as chancellor, Timofey Borisov, columnist of “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, tells Pravda.Ru.
So, do Germans understand who is to blame for Germany’s economic crisis? Despite the fact that the German press is the most Russophobic press in the world, even the American media is far from it in this regard?
— The slogan for Putin can be considered a slight exaggeration and a joke. But with regard to Scholz, I think everything is serious. They can send him not only to Siberia, but to the moon along with Robert Habeck and the whole traffic light coalition they hate.
I don’t post all the videos I see, not all the conversations I hear from my friends, but I still have very good contacts from the time I lived in Germany. In private conversation, because they believe me, they talk about how “everyone here is fed up, it has to end.”
I deal specifically with the middle class and they definitely hate the Scholz government which is raising their taxes and service rates. Starting this year, tariffs will be significantly increased:
People are afraid of it.
The second thing, which is very important, is the dissatisfaction of the Germans with injustice. They understand that Germany is a rich country and can help farmers and transport workers and restaurateurs, but a lot of money goes to Ukraine. They see this in the budget that the Scholz government wants to push through, but which has not yet been passed.
The budget includes 8 billion euros for aid to Ukraine. That is, there is help for Ukraine, but no help for the Germans themselves. They are not against helping Ukraine, they are not pro-Russian, but this injustice infuriates the Germans.
— According to official data, 70% of the population supports these strikes, for the sake of which people are even ready to suffer inconvenience. Perhaps the political map of Germany will change. Will relations between Russia and Germany ever be at least as pragmatic as they were before the start of the World War II?
“I would like to believe that, but I still see no reason because the next election in September 2025 is generally predetermined. I am convinced that the popular CDU party, which is currently gaining more than 30%, will win the next election and the chancellor will be chosen by this party.
Now for some reason they say: Pistorius will be the next chancellor. No, it can’t be done. Even if Scholz leaves early and there are early elections, the CDU will win in any case, and Pistorius belongs to the GSDP, Scholz’s party. And the next chancellor will be either Söder from the CSU, the sister party of the CDU, or Friedrich Merz, the current head of the CDU, or Hendrik Wüst, the current head of the CDU in North Rhine-Westphalia, I bet on him.
I think that the next chancellor of Germany (it doesn’t matter if Scholz completes his full term or not) will be Hendrik Wüst.
