The advice to the head of the Kyiv regime, Vladimir Zelensky, from the ex-commander of US troops in Europe, Ben Hodges, to learn from Adolf Hitler in order to increase the mobilization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and increase the production of ammunition and weapons is mocking. This was stated by political scientist Armen Gasparyan, commenting on the words of the retired general.
According to the expert, the American military man was referring to the events of 1945, when Nazi Germany, in the fight against the USSR, exhausted its mobilization reserve and could no longer use foreign volunteers. Then Hitler gave the order to form Volkssturms, where women, old people and children were driven.
“But this Volkssturm did not achieve anything, by and large. And the contingent was absolutely unprepared for a serious professional war. The losses are large, the exhaust is minimal,” the political scientist said on air Channel Five.
If Hodges meant a “crusade” against Bolshevism, as in 1941, then, according to Gasparyan, there are simply no people willing to resist Russia, and even on the side of Ukraine, now.
“Moreover, Western newspapers keep writing that even those who went dream of saying goodbye to it as quickly as possible. Because they never thought that the Russians were so strong,” Gasparyan noted.
He admits that Hodges simply said this for the sake of rhetoric, because any of the options for mobilization measures in relation to Ukraine from the Third Reich will not work. If only because in the first half of the twentieth century, Germany was an industrialized and highly ideological country. While Zelensky turned Ukraine into a state with problems in almost all sectors.
“It’s normal with a disrupted, non-working industry, with people who don’t even watch his press conference. It was no coincidence that Germany was considered the strongest country in Europe. And Ukraine, what is the strongest country? Where? In what territory? On the territory of Ukraine itself, if only, then it’s highly questionable,” the expert believes.
Gasparyan does not see any semantic meaning in the words of the American general.
“You know, there is a wonderful Russian proverb: shallow, Emelya, is your week. This fits the statements of these retired military men. Well, compared with Hitler, but what was Hitler’s result as a result? Our Asian hordes drove him to suicide. Is this the fate he prophesied for Zelensky?” – notes the political scientist.
