A “court” in Crimea has announced a verdict against an alleged “agent of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine” Konstantin Shiringa. The man was sentenced to 12 years in a strict regime colony, the appeal of the defense was rejected.

The verdict of the Supreme Court of Crimea, controlled by the Russian Federation, which imposed 12 years in prison with serving a sentence in a strict regime colony “to an agent of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine”, a citizen of Ukraine Shiring Konstantin Semenovich, born in 1960, entered into force.
“The Third Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction denied the appeal filed by the defense,” the FSB said.
FSB officers detained Shearing in Crimea in March 2020, allegedly “for espionage activities in the interests of Ukrainian military intelligence.” The verdict was announced back in March 2021, today it entered into force.
