For a week now, the two major political forces – PP-DB and GERB-SDS – have been negotiating in order for the rotation to happen and for the “non-coalition” to continue to exist. On Monday, the president hands over the folder with the mandate to GERB. What will follow from there?
“We have a new plot in this situation and it is the plot “Boyko Borisov-Maria Gabriel”. From his words, we can clearly hear that she thought carefully about whether, as prime minister, she would be able to work with foreign ministers,” commented Evelina Slavkova, a sociologist and political analyst, on “This Sunday” on bTV.
According to her, the “early elections” card continues to stand, with much less weight to have a cabinet, but according to her, this possibility should not be ruled out either.
“I miss that detail of what’s going to happen in the next nine months as policies. Within the last year, I haven’t heard anything in terms of the Recovery Plan money, what direction this country is going to take. This conversation is missing,” Slavkova pointed out.
“At the moment, the situation is such that the two forces are quite far from fulfilling their mandate. In addition to allocating ministerial positions, which is the apparent part, it is a question of allocating all state power,” commented the journalist Sibina Grigorova for her part.
According to her, it is important that the power corresponds to the weight of the parties, and this is the struggle at the moment.
“The big question is how far GERB-SDS would agree to give way,” she added.
