PDIP politician Masinton Pasaribu responding to the migration of Turun Tangan volunteers supporting Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Friends of Ganjar Pranowo (SGP) volunteers who moved to support Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Masinton said the announcement of the shift in support had been conditioned.
“Yes, that’s normal, it’s something that has been conditioned, let alone fluid volunteer organizations, even parties are also manipulated,” said Masinton Pasaribu at Oflan Donnut-Third Coffee, Bangka, South Jakarta, Saturday (13/1/2024).
Masinton said manipulation was also carried out against political parties, not just volunteer organizations. He gave the example of a number of declarations in Central Java which seemed to have been made by the PDIP because they carried the PDIP flag.
“There were several times when they mobilized as if they were from PDIP, both during registration carrying the PDIP flag, then there were several declarations in Central Java and so on as if they were from PDIP and also not only against PDIP, other parties supporting other candidate pairs “mobilized using such methods, that’s all right, but yes, these methods have no ethics in the political process, but we understand that because from the start there was no ethics,” he said.
Previously, the volunteers from Turing Hands supporters of Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and volunteers Sahabat Ganjar Pranowo (SGP) announced that they were now supporting Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election. Deputy Commander of TKN Golf for Volunteers, Ahmad Gojali Harahap, appreciated this support.
The announcement of this support was made at the TKN Prabowo-Gibran Media Center, Jakarta, Friday (12/1/2024). Gojali said he was happy that the volunteer organization had finally given support to candidate pair number 02.
“Recently, especially after the third presidential election debate, migration to Pak Prabowo or support for Pak Prabowo is increasing day by day and continuing to flow,” said Gojali.
Gojali then brought up that Prabowo-Gibran recently also received support from Anies-Muhaimin Supporters (PAM) and PPP Fighters. Gojali is optimistic that Prabowo-Gibran can win one round.
“Hopefully the presence of these friends can increase our strength to win one round,” said Gojali.
In the same forum, the initiator of the Yogyakarta Hands Down Movement, Sanghyang Sukma Wahyu Abadi, said the reason his party had shifted support to Prabowo-Gibran. According to him, Anies Baswedan’s appearance in the third presidential debate, attacking Prabowo personally, did not reflect the spirit of leadership.
“Maybe Mr. Prabowo is not good at dialectics, but we see that Mr. Prabowo is doing his service to this country well. That is one of the reasons why we migrated to Prabowo-Gibran,” said Sanghyang.
Meanwhile, the General Chair of Friends of Ganjar Pranowo (SGP), Ahmad Muhdlor Ihsan, said that his party had shifted support to Prabowo-Gibran because they felt they were not appreciated.
“We’re sorry, we’ve exhausted Rp. 2.2 billion for 2 years. Why is SGP withdrawing support because we, the general chairman of SGP and all management throughout Indonesia, feel that our pride has been trampled on,” said Muhdlor.
Muhdlor explained that SGP was disbanded on December 26 2023. They then formed Barisan Santri Indonesia (BSI).
“BSI’s ranks of Indonesian students are determined to win pair 02, Mr. Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, in one round,” said Muhdlor.
