Political Analyst Says Future of Bulgarian Democracy Looks Promising

“Things are developing well for the future of Bulgarian democracy. Those who are in the last parliament will not be given a chance to create a political hybrid”, said political analyst Prof. Zahari Zahariev in the studio of Bulgaria ON AIR.

In his words, he cannot guarantee either stability within the framework of state policy, nor stability in parliamentary terms, nor the necessary democratic representation from the point of view of the wishes of the vast majority of the people.

“We should cheerfully start with more optimism, but also with more serious work regarding the future of the political space in Bulgaria and the electoral system towards the next elections”, pointed out Prof. Zahariev.

With each meeting, the chance to form a stable cabinet melts more and more, believes the leader of “Conservative Bulgaria” Boris Yachev.

“The conversation between the two political groups is like a conversation between people who speak different languages and have sat down to talk without an interpreter. Borisov has his own game, which he is good at. He managed to get his opponents into a debate. He stands out in the eyes of the people as a dialogical forgiving political leader who is willing to put aside personal relationships. It also shows the political inexperience of the people of ‘Continuing the Change’, who are increasingly falling into the trap of meaningless talk,” he added.

According to him, the ideological differences between GERB, DPS and BSP in the last three years have “melted”, noted the leader of “Conservative Bulgaria”.

“This is a logical coalition between these three formations. Of course, with the smallest political formation – ITN”, emphasized Yachev on Bulgaria ON AIR.
