It was chaired by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee.
The meeting pointed out that China’s economy is currently facing new difficulties and challenges, including the shortage of domestic consumption, difficulties in managing some enterprises, multiple risks in some important sectors and the complex external situation. China’s economy is considered to be highly resilient, has huge development potential, and the trend of long-term good development will not change.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that in the second half of the year macro-regulation should be carried out precisely, active financial and stable currency policies should be continued, domestic consumption should be increased and the construction of the modern industrial system should be advanced. In addition, it was stated that it is necessary to continue with the deepening of the reforms and the opening of the country, to really increase the competitiveness of the state-owned companies in the key sectors and to optimize the environment for the development of private enterprises.
