Earlier incidents
Since December, there have been five blasts at Polish supermarkets run by Iraqi Kurds. In December there were explosions at supermarkets in Aalsmeer, Heeswijk-Dinther and twice at the same store in Beverwijk. In January there was another attack on a Polish supermarket. At the time, the store on Paletplein in Tilburg was the target of the same family that also operates the supermarkets in Aalsmeer and Beverwijk.
A spokesman for the police could not say on Monday evening whether there is a connection between these earlier explosions and the recent shelling in Rotterdam.
