I am not disappearing from politics, I am here – this is how MEP and former Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek referred in an interview with Radio Katowice to the information that circulated in the media yesterday that he will not run in the June elections to the European Parliament.
— I feel great responsibility towards the Silesian Voivodeship, where I live, but also towards the entire country – emphasized Jerzy Buzek in a conversation with Łukasz Łaskawiec.
Jerzy Buzek became a member of the European Parliament in 2004. He will go down in history as the first and still Polish president of the European Parliament. He held this position in the years 2009-2012.
We will no longer meet Jan Olbrycht, Leszek Miller or Bogusław Liberadzki in the European Parliament. On June 9, the list of Civic Coalition candidates will be opened in Silesia by Borys Budka, the current minister of state assets.
